COSTUME DESIGN

When choosing costume designs for our characters, there were many things that we had to take into consideration. Firstly, we had to decide whether we would follow discrete conventions, such a red clothing or make-up for the stereotypical 'baddie' or the victim.
When we spoke about these decisions, we thought that it was more important to address the main ideas and plot of the film within the two minutes we were creating. As our film length would be on average about 100 minutes, we believed that the conventions of make-up and clothing could be displayed throughout the remaining time. Due to this, our clothing was quite neutral in relation to the personalities of the characters.
